To support its internal office communication needs, PT Pelindo Sub Regional Bali Nusra implemented a new IP-based telephony system using 3CX.
Previously, the communication infrastructure still used analog Telkom lines, and there was no structured IPPBX system for communication between departments.
The 3CX implementation was carried out as a modern solution to support more efficient and centralized internal communication.
Challenges
Some initial conditions before implementation:
- Installation of a new system for office needs
- The telephony infrastructure was still based on analog Telkom lines
- The main need was communication between extensions (between departments)
- There was no centralized IPPBX system
The main focus was to improve internal communication efficiency without excessive system complexity.
The 3CX Solution
With the 3CX implementation, the internal communication system at the PT Pelindo Sub Regional Bali Nusra office is now more structured and modern.
The Telkom analog lines can still be used through a gateway, so there is no need to replace the entire existing infrastructure right away.
3CX enables:
- Creating extensions for each department
- Direct calls between extensions at no additional cost
- Centralized system management through a web console
- Easy addition of new users or departments
This system is focused on internal communication (intercom between departments), making operations faster and more efficient.
Results Achieved
After the 3CX implementation, the following benefits were obtained:
- A more modern and centralized office telephony system
- Faster and more efficient communication between departments
- The existing Telkom analog lines can still be used
- A scalable system for adding extensions in the future
