As a company with high and structured communication needs, Indopremier previously used an Asterisk IP PBX system with a multi-server architecture. The infrastructure consisted of 4 separate servers (2 servers at the Head Office and 2 servers at the Branch), making system management complex and inefficient.
To simplify the architecture, improve stability, and optimize SIP Trunk distribution, Indopremier chose 3CX as a modern IP PBX solution that is more centralized and well managed.
Challenges
Before using 3CX, Indopremier faced several main challenges:
- Limited Control & Access: All PBX servers were fully managed by the vendor. IndoPremier was only given limited access to the web admin, so it did not have full control over its own infrastructure.
- Lack of Vendor Support: The minimal support provided by the previous vendor made it hard for the internal team when they needed technical consultation or in-depth problem solving.
- Infrastructure Complexity: Managing 4 separate servers between the Head Office and Branch created obstacles in monitoring and synchronization.
- SIP Trunk Not Centralized: The distribution of phone lines was not efficiently integrated between branches.
- Failover Mechanism: The old system did not have an optimal failover feature to ensure communication continuity during an outage
The old architecture had high complexity on the infrastructure side, especially in managing 4 servers, monitoring, and the failover mechanism. On the other hand, the system in use was relatively simple and to the point, so in day-to-day operations it could still be used and managed fairly easily by the internal team.
IP PBX Solution from Solusipbx.com
By implementing 3CX, Indopremier successfully simplified its communication system architecture from a complex multi-server setup into a more structured and efficient system, and also took back full control of its communication system through a more modern and independent solution.
SIP Trunks can now be managed centrally at the Head Office, while distribution to the Branch is done through a more stable and controlled bridge mechanism. This reduces routing complexity and improves trunk management efficiency.
It removes dependence on third-party vendors with a system that is easier to manage internally yet still has professional features. 3CX also supports High Availability and automatic failover, so if the main server has a problem, the system can switch to the backup server automatically and keep the core PBX system running with reliable failover.
To keep data secure and continuous, configuration and recordings are backed up on a schedule to external storage, ensuring the system is ready in case of disruption.
Results Achieved
After using 3CX, Indopremier gained a number of strategic benefits, including:
- Architecture simplified from 4 servers to a more efficient system
- Centralized SIP Trunk at the Head Office with controlled distribution to the Branch
- Simpler system management that is easier to monitor
- Automatic failover mechanism at the PBX level
- Scheduled system backup to external storage
- Better stability and scalability than the previous system
With 3CX, Indopremier now has a communication system that is more centralized, stable, and easy to manage, and ready to support the company’s operational needs on an ongoing basis.
“After years of use, 3CX has proven its quality as a reliable IP PBX solution for IndoPremier:
- Proven Stability: The system has proven to be very stable and so far has never had any significant problems in long-term operation.
- Outstanding Support Ecosystem: One of the biggest added values is the highly responsive support system, quick in handling complaints and providing solution-oriented information.
- Management Efficiency: System management has become far more independent, easy to monitor, and has better scalability.”
