If you already have an existing Asterisk PBX and want to combine it into a single system with 3CX, here is how to configure 3CX.
1. From the management console, choose the Bridge menu and add one by clicking Add Bridge

The bridge settings are explained as follows:
1. Virtual extension number. Enter a 5-digit gateway number. Please note that this number will be used as the “Bridge ID”, and it cannot be changed once created.
2. Name of bridge: a name for the bridge being created that identifies the bridge connection in the 3CX management console.
3. Type of bridge: set as “master”
4. Outbound rule prefix to reach the remote 3CX PBX.
5. Authentication password. By default an 8-digit alphanumeric password is generated, but it can be changed.
6. Assigned codecs. By default this is set to GSM-FR. Please remember that every codec chosen must also be supported by the Asterisk PBX.
7. Outbound rule, which must be created to identify outgoing calls to Asterisk.
